Ulvanosa, a peak of 1246 meters above sea level is located between Utåker and Uskedalen. The characteristic shape of the ridge makes the mountain quite popular in summer, when the snow cover has melted enough to make hiking possible. I noticed Ulvanosa the first time in May from the distance, when I hiked on mountains Kjellesviknuten and Børkjenesnuen. It looked like an inaccessible colossus, still covered with a thick layer of snow.
