• Ørnaberget & Grytenuten

I was preparing to climb on Grytenuten, a mountain where was not any path to follow. Initially, I planned to start from the north and summit of Bukkanaba, and from there somehow get to the Grytenuten. However, when I looked more closely at the map, I saw that it would be much easier to go from the south and Ørnaberget mountain. I could not count on any paths that would lead me to a place between one mountain and the other, and my route could go through wetlands there, but I was hoping that I could manage it somehow. Due to the strong sun that has been warming up for…

  • Steinslandsnuten

This was a spontaneous trip. There was no weather to plan any spectacular trekking journey. In fact, I had to let my knees rest after my last trips. I decided to use a few hours of sun and climb on one of easiest mountain in the neighborhood, Steinslandsnuten (I was there before, and you can read about this here, but it is only in polish). When I walked through the Audral valley, I met herd of goats. They stood on the road in front of me and they hadn’t a possibility to escape. In this case I could get closer and went among them. They were a bit scared at…

  • Sletthaug

In recent weeks my mountain activity is not too big. The reason is that I’m trying to recover my achilles tendons. That is why, as long as I’m getting out to stretch my legs, I usually choose some flat routes. And it was supposed to be this time too. I left the house with the intention of going up to 10 kilometers. However, on the way I remained an interesting road where I was with my son two years ago. My kid…

  • Håfjell and other mountains

Håfjell was on my ‘’to do’’ list for a long time. However, I could nowhere find the trail to this mountain. I realized that probably I will have to go there across country. I checked all available maps on internet and established a plan: entrance from Vestvoll to Friarane, get from there to Hovda (530m above sea level), descent, passed Friarane again and go to Litle Kjort, Brennestag and from there look for the way to the Håfjell. I wanted to descent to Blikra, which is very close to Vestvoll, so I could easily get to my car. I printed the maps and waited for the kindness of the Norwegian…
