The surroundings of Bjordal
One more time I was heading to Vikebygd area. This time however I didn’t reach the town. About 6 km earlier I turned right and came to Bjordal farm. There are couple opportunities for hike from there. I found small parking lot next, paid the fee (30 kr) and started to hike.

At the beginning I intended to reach two nearest summits: Bårefjell (403 m asl) and Store Skjerden (415 m asl), but when I climbed on first one, I founded out extension of the trail, leading north, enfolded Grautvatnet Lake and headed back to south. That option seemed much interesting, even if whole this route went in snow.
Grautvatnet Lake is very picturesquare place, especially when all the surface is frozen and surrounding is covered by snow. But walking in that terrain can be challenging. I managed to get to the northern side turn around and climb on the summit on opposite, eastern shore. On that point, Skinåsen (416 m asl) the views were just amazing.
Going back to Bjordal I climbed up to two another mountains. One of them had name Høgehaugen (435 m n.p.m.) and that was the highest point of this route. Sun was going to set and the light was fantastic for making pictures. I spent there a while enjoying the views and making pictures.
Soon, I headed back to the farm. The whole trip had about 7 km long and my impressions were great. I think I would like to come back to Bjordal one day and try another hike from this place.
