Dyvikheia
I was on my way back from Treungen where I was trying to climb one of the surrounding peaks, Skuggenatten. It turned out that the whole trip and the kilometers I made would be wasted. The icy ground on the rocky trail forced me to retreat.

I’ve got an idea to stop somewhere and look around for some alternative tour. I managed to see a characteristic sign from the road, which indicated a route. I found a place to park the car and after a while I was ready to go. Dyvikheia is a small peak (340 m above sea level) located at the intersection of roads 38 and 3374 near Kragerø, in southern Norway. The loop is about 6 km long. The peak offers a pretty panorama of wooded hills and lakes. Trail runs along a wide road cut through the forest. Typical forest paths are only in the immediate surrounding of the summit.
It is hard to consider this trail as a typical mountain hike. There are no views on the route that I have gotten used to recently. But this route can be a great alternative for less experienced hikers in mountainous terrain. On a few steep ascents you can get out of breath and at the top you can enjoy your eyes with forests stretching to the horizon.
