Såta 250 m asl & Juten 411m asl
I visited western coast of Norway, where I supposed to stay for few days. This came with opportunity to hike on some mountains in neighbour. During my last, spontaneous trip on Kyrkja, I managed to look around for some other nice trails in that area. Just behind town of Vikebygd starts the trail which leads to 4 peaks and ends almost in town centre. That one looks very interesting, especially the first two summits weren’t too high and I could expect that there will be no snow. I had no time to go further and climb for another two peaks. All I have for this trip was around 3 hours on Wednesday afternoon, between 3 and 6 pm.

The trail goes in very nice scenery and I enjoyed walking the path in forest with rays of sun wading through wood branches. It was warm enough to force me to take off the fleece jacket. And it didn’t take long when I set my foot on the first summit. I was on Såta Mountain. This hill is not so high and there are some trees which can obscure the view.
I spent there only few minutes and rushed toward the second peak, Juten Mountain. This part was more difficult. The path led through wet peatlands and it didn’t take long when I felt swamp in my shoes. On the last section I had to climb up very steep gorge, where still were quite much snow. But finally I stand on Juten Mountain and I could enjoy the beautiful view.
That was amazing trip. Maybe because the fantastic weather. Sun was shining and there was about 8 degrees, so I could walk wearing only a T-shirt. Maybe because the sun was going to sunset, making the light just perfect for photography. And maybe, because my last mountain trip I did about three months ago and I just miss this kind of activity so much.
