Middagshaugen and Bukkenibba are two mountains, located close to each other. I was on both of them a few years ago. Description of this trip you can find here. I didn’t plan to climb on Bukkenbiba again, remembering the wetlands I had to wade through the last time. However, I found out that one of my colleagues, Daniel, is regularly visiting this mountain and I decided to join his next trip, just for fun. Kåtanuten 531 m asl
Kåtanuten was the first mountain I climbed when I came to Norway. It was a long time ago. I haven’t been there in the last years and this was a good reason for refresh that trail. It is placed in Ølensvåg, on the northern shore of Ølsjoen fjord, and the path beginning just opposite the shipyard. There are three parts of this trail: Extremely hard climbing in the woods. First kilometer leads through the forest on very steep slope. Good for train your condition. Swamp and puddles. Vakadalen
I didn’t plan any walking trips during this weekend. I had something else to do, the weather wasn’t ideal for going outside and besides, I wanted to let my aching legs rest . But when I looked out the window on Sunday and found out that there is quite nice, I decided to go on a walk. I pack up and dressed warmly very quick.
