  • Hellandsnuten

    The Hellandsnuten mountain (747m above sea level) is located next to the town of Sand in the Suldal region. A decent marked trail is about 3.5 km long but the route to the top is classified as demanding or very demanding.     The choice of this mountain for the next hike was purely accidental. I wanted to go somewhere nearby and the whole trip supposed to take place in the late afternoon to avoid the hot sun. The route to Roaldkvamsnuten was marked on the map, which I received in Ølen, in a local handicraft store, where they offered also various types of travel guides and brochures. This map is a valuable source of interesting routes in Vindafjord Kommune, with marked trails to the surrounding peaks.   • Reset one more time

    In the previous post I wrote about my trip to mountain of Reset and how I lost my passport. Three days after (and the next day after I wandered to Blomstølen, making 30 km) I decided to go on a rescue action. Fortunately weather came with sun and I was going to find my loss and finally climb on Reset with other, neighboring peaks: Høgafjellet and Bårnuten.
