It’s been about a month since I made last trip to the mountains, so I felt it was time to go somewhere. This time I was not supposed to be alone, because my friends suggested that we need to go on a trip together. Roaldkvamsnuten 755m asl
The choice of this mountain for the next hike was purely accidental. I wanted to go somewhere nearby and the whole trip supposed to take place in the late afternoon to avoid the hot sun. The route to Roaldkvamsnuten was marked on the map, which I received in Ølen, in a local handicraft store, where they offered also various types of travel guides and brochures. This map is a valuable source of interesting routes in Vindafjord Kommune, with marked trails to the surrounding peaks. Hestanipen i Lysenuten
I took my first new year’s mountain trip now, nearly in the middle of February. But I reached two peaks, including the one with 812 meters above sea level. There was not easy and there were quite a lot of kilometers to go. At least after two months’ break. My first aim was not so high mountain Svalafjellet, located close to Ølen.
